Influenced by a Deaf runner, how can I design a wearable for runners to maintain rhythm at a correct pace?
A large number of runners use their GPS watch during a race which may cause the watch to miscalculate the pace, distance, and results.
Inspired by pacers and the Deaf community. Pacers are utilized during races to help participants run at a consistent pace, avoid excessive energy use, and finish at their goal time. People often run to the beat of music to maintain a rhythm. Those in the Deaf community, like my dad, are unable participate in the same manner.
I found an opportunity in using an interactive metronome, which creates a rhythm and timing for a user.
First, adjust to desire pace, Vima will calibrate to create a rhythmatic vibrating beat to run at your desired pace.
